Resource management and environmental planning

I'm Claire Price, a resource management and environmental planner with 20+ years of experience across local government and private consultancy in New Zealand. I take clients through resource consent processes for developments ranging from residential projects to major infrastructure, working with technical experts to shape proposals that work for you, the community, and the environment.

Testimonial

“Claire is super organised and so easy to work with. The projects followed a good methodical process, we knew what we needed to do, and it was great to see the applications come together successfully. We love working with Claire and look forward to many more projects together.”

HOW I WORK

My Process

From the outset, I like to understand as much as I can and have a clear direction how we tackle the unknowns. For me that requires time up front to work up a process of tasks and information gathering, assessment, so that the unknowns progressively fall into line. The process is not always linear, and deviations can be expected. However, keeping to the process gives momentum and answers to problems typical arise.

  • I listen and understand your activity.

  • I check the rulebook (regional and district plans), constraints, and information requirements.

  • We agree on the strategy and process to follow.

  • I coordinate technical experts, assess environmental effects, and confirm the proposal.

  • I prepare the application, manage council queries, and drive decisions forward.
